A Drop in the Ocean, in partnership with the National Coordination of Articulation of Black Quilombola Rural Communities (Conaq), Terra de Direitos, Instituto Socioambiental – ISA, a Comissão Pró Índio and Comissão Pastoral da Terra launched on 28/7/17 the Nenhum Quilombo a Menos (Not a Single Quilombo Lost) campaign on 28/7/17, with the objective of pressuring the ministers of the Federal Supreme Court to vote against the Direct Action of Unconstitutionality (ADI) No. 3239/2004, proposed by the party Democratas. This ADI can make titling of new quilombola communities unfeasible and null those that have already been titled.
Gota participates in the campaign through the production of graphic material, texts to be distributed to the press and a video starring actors Icaro Silva and Letícia Colin and the launch in social networks, along with a petition. We also managed to publish in the newspaper “O Globo” an article signed by Denildo Rodrigues de Moraes, Biko, the national coordinator of Conaq.
