Belo Monte: Dangerous waters

Besides damaging fishing, the construction of the Belo Monte plant has caused terror to the indigenous population living on the banks of the river Xingu. The floodgates of the hydroelectric plant are opened without warning, causing the flow of the river to suddenly increase. Parents fear that the waters will take their children.

And this does not happen only in Belo Monte: the actor Domingos Montagner may have been the victim of a similar accident in the São Francisco River.
