The WeHaveHadItUpToHere (Tamuaté-Aki) Campaign brings together people and organizations with the common goal of supporting indigenous peoples in Brazil defend their rights. More than 305 Brazilian indigenous peoples feature a wealth of socio-cultural diversity which is reflected in their knowledge and ways of life, in 274 languages and a wide variety of artistic expressions and rituals. The demarcation of indigenous territories, now paralyzed, is a basic condition for survival to these people. Most indigenous lands in Brazil suffer invasions, impact works and often the Indians reap absurd results of what happens even outside of their lands, in the regions that surround them: pollution of rivers by pesticides, deforestation, etc. Nevertheless, in some regions of Brazil, almost all that remains of native vegetation is inside of indigenous lands and protected areas. We believe that diversity and plurality of the Brazilian society is fundamental to build a different future for humanity and the planet.
